Elmore, Aug. 27.—Our meetings still continue with as large an attendance as at the first. After speaking on the subject of temperance, several that night bade adieu to tobacco, and some others have given up tea and coffee. Fifteen have decided to keep the Sabbath. Among these are several who never made a profession of religion before. We hope for others. Last Monday evening a gentleman arose and proposed to take up a collection for us. The sum of $8.08 was obtained. C. W. STONE.
