The Need for Personal Responsibility in Mission Work

ONE great need in the Christian Church to-day is a sense of personal responsibility. It is to be feared that a majority of those whose names are enrolled upon the church records know almost nothing concerning mission work in general, and are giving neither time, money, influence, nor prayer toward hastening the day when “all shall know the Lord.” Glimpses of the fields abroad, with all their pressing needs and imperative claims, could hardly fail to impress Christians with a sense of personal responsibility. And we repeat, this is just what is now needed.—Sel.
