POSITIVE MEN.

MEN of clearly defined views, positive convictions, and unwavering purpose, are the only men who are fit for leadership either in church or State, or anywhere else. A man who preaches doubt can never inspire others with faith; a man who halts and hesitates can never impart courage to his followers; a man who, like a weathercock, changes with every changing wind, cannot gather and hold intelligent followers. It is positive men—men who have positive beliefs—men of determined purpose—men of undeviating aim, that mould the sentiments of others, and lead them to the performance of noble and praiseworthy deeds that elevate society and bless the world. Doubters may impart their doubts to others, but at the same time they impart to them their weakness. Positive faith is an element of power and is essential to success. Doubt is an element of weakness, and insures defeat.
