A Valuable Work.

SMITH'S "Diagram of Parliamentary Rules" is a marvel of conciseness, perspicuity, and convenience. By a most ingenious arrangement, the author has condensed the whole code of Parliamentary laws into a space so small that the whole can be taken in at a glance. With one of these Diagrams before him, a presiding officer can instantly determine the correct ruling on a doubtful point without a moment's hesitation. For a person not well versed in Parliamentary law, it is indispensable. Even a novice, with Smith's "Diagram" before him, may undertake to decide the most knotty problem in "ruling" without fear of going astray. The "Key" is of itself a complete compend of "Rules of Order," and with the "Diagram" is worth ten times the price to any presiding officer, or member of an organized body. The neat appearance and convenient form of the work is not the least of its numerous merits. — Woodland Daily Democrat.
