Obituary.

NICOLSEN.—Died in San Francisco, November 24, 1886, of diphtheria, only and adopted son of Christian and Lise Nicolsen, aged 1 year, 6 months, and 17 days. They had taken him while an infant with the intention of bringing him up in the fear and admonition of the Lord, but it seems that Providence had decided it to be otherwise; however, they are comforted with the blessed hope that he will have a part in the first resurrection. Funeral took place on November 26; prayer was offered at the grave by the writer. ANDREW BRORSEN.
