Christmas for the Little Freedmen.

FROM a missionary teacher among the freedmen in the South we have received the following notice, which we gladly insert:—
"Boys and girls can help the freedmen by sending their old toys, dolls, picture books, etc., etc. Second-hand clothing can be used. Help the freedmen to a Merry Christmas. Address,
"Mrs. N. A. Rutherford, Missionary Teacher, Box 20.
"Lumberton, Robeson Co., North Carolina."
The writer of the above says: "We wish to have a Christmas tree, or something of the kind, December 24, for the little freedmen. I am satisfied that the boys and girls North and South would help us if they knew our wants."
We are sure they will. Thousands of families that are reached by the SIGNS can easily and we think will willingly make up a little package and send to help make glad the hearts of the little ones who have been freed from the dread of a cruel bondage. Four pounds can be sent by mail for thirty-two cents.
