Weighed in the Balances

"Tekel. Thou art weighed in the balances, and found wanting." In what balance? In the balance of God’s pure and perfect law—that law which requires unreserved obedience and unspotted holiness. For all who are not sheltered in Christ Jesus as the Lord their righteousness, must be weighed, not in the balances of partial self-complacency or human judgment, but in the scales of divine justice.
