Obituary.

LELAND.—Died in Oakland, Cal., April 4, 1889, of cerebro-spinal meningitis, Ulah B. Leland, aged 3 years, 7 months, and 11 days. Little Ulah was a gentle, affectionate child, and was beloved by all who knew her. Her mother, Sister Leland, so lately called upon to mourn the loss of a dear husband, is thus doubly bereaved, but sorrows not as those who have no hope. Words of comfort were spoken by the writer from Jer. 31:16. J. W. SCOLES.
