The Soul’s Communion with God

THE soul can converse freely with God, and it can find God anywhere if it apply in prayer. God's thoughts are flashing from the stars, printed on the flowers, chanted by the birds, repeated by the seasons; but the sweetest expression is in those beautiful verses of the Bible, mottoed on the memory. In the solitary hour we can make our thoughts flow with God's thought. Such intercourse with our Lord is our highest happiness.
