WE have now held twenty-three meetings in the tent here. Have canvassed quite thoroughly the question of immortality and the Sabbath. We held our first Sabbath meeting last Sabbath. About twenty-five children and adults met in the tent. Ten of the adults signed a covenant to keep all God's commandments. Last evening two discourses were given in the place on immortality. We dismissed the tent meeting and I listened to one discourse and Brother Hand took notes of the other. I shall give some attention to their weak efforts against the truth, in connection with my discourse to-night. I continue here another week, and hope for a few more to give their names to obey the truth before we leave.
Like most of Nevada towns, Reno has not a great amount of interest in religious or Bible matters. Last night, (Sunday) while a few were at the churches a brass band called a full house together, two blocks off, to witness a theatrical performance of the Taylor family. So it goes. If we cannot reach the masses we must try to help all we can. Pray for us in our effort.
