ONLY.

By The Christian

Only a tiny candle Lit by Him, Not lost, though he has many Lamps to trim. Only an earthen vessel Used to-day, Although in the Master's pathway Gold ones lay. Only a cup of water Given in love, But the Saviour saw and owned it From above. Only the world's derision Meekly born, Yet he notes the word, the action Done in scorn. Only a little service By the way; He'll reward the smallest effort "In that day." Only follow Jesus To the end; And then his promised glory He will send. -The Christian.
