Read it with a clear mind and quick understanding, and see how the great principles of truth are brought out. Although we find the same in the written word, still it hath pleased God to reveal himself to our finite mind in words so plain that none of us can mistake. It seems to me that the whole book is a revealing of God himself in his dealings with his ancient people, showing his character, which we in these days have been so dull to comprehend. In wonder and amazement I am led to exclaim, "Who is like unto our God?"
