We Shall See Him

By Mrs. M. C. Sollars
Could I catch a glimpse of glory Where the bright-robed angels are, Up above the starry heavens, Far beyond each shining star,
Where the angels veil their faces, Bowing low before the throne, Crying "Holy, holy, holy! Thou art holy, Thou alone!"
Could I hear one loving message, From the lips which know no sin, Catch a glimpse, however fleeting, Of the happiness within;
Could I touch those golden harp-strings, Join the song as angels sing, Ah! methinks my earth-bound spirit To its home would fain take wing.
We shall see them, hear their voices, Touch those harps with skilful hand, Sing among the blessed immortals, With the bright celestial band.
