What Our Lord Said.

When James and John saw the Samaritans reject the coming of their Master, they wished to call fire from heaven and punish them, but our Lord rebuked them with these words: “Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.” Luke 9: 55, 56. This is his message to like-minded reformers to-day.
