ANOTHER SUNDAY CRUSADE.

APROPOS of the Christian Endeavor Convention of 1897, which is to be held in San Francisco in July, the state secretary of the C. E. Union has sent out a circular letter to all ministers who are to attend the convention, urging them "to miss no opportunity to strike a blow to help us in the defense of our Lord's day," and to "preserve Sunday as a day of rest, quiet, and worship." It refers to the desperate condition of the State in view of there being no Sunday law here, and this letter is considered as a precursor of another agitation over the Sunday question. It is safe to assume that many of the visiting ministers who are to supply various pulpits around the bay, will follow the advice of the California secretary in the Sunday-worship crusade, but we hope not all.
