Norway and Denmark.

FROM reports from Elder Matteson, we learn of his labors in Norway. At Haugesund he held one meeting, which was attended by about thirty, and nearly as many more listened in the street, the windows being open. Prejudice was removed, and a good impression made. In Stavanger a chapel was kindly offered by the Methodist where he spoke twice. About three hundred attended each meeting. First-day evening he spoke in the temperance hall to several hundred. Many of the people of this place seem candid, and willing to hear. He attended meetings among the Friends, Lutherans, and others, and preached to them. A two-days' voyage on Steamer took Elder M. to Denmark, where he reports having found the Brethren Brorsen. He expresses his thankfulness that the Lord has brought them safely across the ocean, and that they are now a help to him. They are both at work.
