Iowa Camp-Meeting.

The Iowa camp-meeting was held at Oskaloosa, Iowa, September 18-23. The camp was pleasantly situated and the meeting was fully as large as any previous meeting in this State. Brethren Butler and Haskell did most of the preaching. On the Sabbath our meetings were solemn and impressive. A good number of both backsliders and sinners came forward for prayers. The blessing of God was certainly with us. On Sunday, as usual, the time was largely devoted to theoretical subjects, for the benefit of those not of our faith.
Monday our hearts were made glad by the arrival of Brother White, who was on his way to Battle Creek. His greatly improved health was a source of joy to us all, and his good courage in God seemed to beget the same spirit in others. He was able to speak several times, with great clearness and power. The different missions received their share of attention. It was decided to raise $2,000 to pay the debt on the tract and missionary society and have a reserve fund to do business with. About $1,600 was pledged for this purpose, and $1,800 on the English mission. Other branches of the work were remembered. E. W. F.
