A Mistake About Papal Statutes

We said in our last that of late the pope "had been sending imaginary statues of Jesus to the crowned heads of Europe." It should have read statues. However, for centuries the pope has been sending out false statutes or laws, said to be those of Christ. The mistake was not wholly an error.
