A noticeable feature of the convention was the utter absence of any reference to the greatest event of all the ages, soon to take place in the world,—the coming of Christ in the clouds. Despite the oft-repeated announcement of His second advent, in the Scriptures, and regardless of the express admonition to watch for this stupendous event, it received no consideration.
