HOFFER.—Died of lung fever, at his residence in Liberty Center, Henry Co., Ohio, Henry Hoffer, aged 67 years, 11 months, and 3 days. Bro. Hoffer was born near Hagerstown, Washington Co., Md., and professed faith in Christ and joined the Church of God, in 1856. In 1861, he embraced the Sabbath, and became convinced of the near coming of the Lord, and united with the S. D. Adventists, and began to make a more earnest preparation for that event. There was a large attendance at the funeral. Sermon by the writer, from Num. 23:10. This text was used by request. A. A. BIGELOW.
