The American Sentinel

A sentinel is a trusty watcher picketed on the outskirts of the camp, to carefully watch every movement of the enemy and give warning at the slightest approach of danger.
A true American sentinel is a guard who faithfully warns of danger to the American camp. The American camp of home and country is now in danger, and the "AMERICAN SENTINEL," of which we wish to speak, has for many years given timely warning of each approach of the enemy. But the enemy is still preparing for battle, and the "SENTINEL" will continue to give the trumpet "a certain sound." Will the American camp be aroused to its peril?
Do you know that a foe more to be dreaded than the combined armies of the world is stealing a march on this nation, and that the priceless boon of liberty is about to be taken from us?
Do you desire to become informed on this subject, which is of such vital importance to every citizen of this land? Then read the "AMERICAN SENTINEL," a sixteen-page weekly journal, set for the defense of liberty of conscience, the preservation of American institutions, and the perpetuity of that wonderful conservator of God-given rights—our national Constitution as it stands.
