International Conciliation and World Peace

An eastern despatch states that the American branch of the Association for International Conciliation was organized April 23, with Prof. Nicholas Murray Butler, president, Congressman Richard Bartholdt, vice-president, and Robert E. Franks, treasurer. Andrew Carnegie and Andrew D. White are the honorary presidents. The organization voted to make Mrs. Eddy its founder, and she has accepted it. In responding to the offer Mrs. Eddy expressed the wish, "May the fruits of your grand association, pregnant with peace, find their birth-right in divine science." It certainly will take more even than the aberrant reasoning of Christian Science to get peace out of the world at the present time. The advocates of peace will have to declare that everything against peace is purely negative, and does not really exist.
