A celebration is a general event. The Freemasons of America, we are told, propose to celebrate, or hold memorial observance of the Centennial anniversary of "Worshipful Washington." Why celebrate that day? He should be a matter of rejoicing, his death of mourning. A letter from Washington, however, to the Christian Cynosure, shows that he never served as "Worshipful" Master, and had almost nothing to do with Masonry during his later years.
