Suppose your father was going away to some other state or country to secure a new home, promising that when it was all fixed up he would come back and take you there. You would be very anxious for the day to come when you could see the new home, and you would want your father to write and tell you something about it beforehand, wouldn't you?

Our Saviour just before going away, said that He was going to prepare a place for us, and when it was all ready would come back to get us. He knew that while we were waiting here we would be anxious to know something about it, and so He has given us some glimpses of the Goodly Land in the Bible.
