EDWARD WHYMPER, the first to reach the summit of the Matterhorn, has just returned to Montreal from an extended exploring trip in the Canadian Rockies, and reports having found an endless variety of the most magnificent mountain scenery. He reports having found one glacier of grander proportions than the well-known glacier of the SelkirkS.
