SUNDAY SCHOOLS AND CIGARETS.

THE London Express is authority for the statement that in a certain Sunday-school in Somerset cigarets are given the boys during the service as a means of increasing the attendance. Such a vile, pernicious practise surely can not have the approval of the pastor. Juvenile smoking is, next to the drink problem, the most serious evil, physically speaking, that afflicts the race. We must sadly admit that in two things we are greatly inferior to our forefathers: The women have taken to drink, and the boys to smoking.
