A GOOD BEGINNING.

A freedmen's teacher writes of a colored woman, who, having learned her alphabet said, "Now I want to learn to spell Jesus, for 'pears like the rest will come easier if I learn to spell the blessed name first." A good many things "come easier" if we learn that name first.—Observer.
