MODERN MYSTERIES

Their Moral Aspect

We have just published a booklet with the above title. "The purpose of this booklet is to note some of the moral bearings of the modern occult," says the author in his opening sentence.
He then speaks of the rights of curiosity, and gives the standard by which these rights should be limited.
The second chapter takes up Hypnotism, discusses the principles involved, and to what they inevitably lead. It is a striking and original chapter.
The title of the third chapter is Natural Law Versus Satanic Control.
Chapter four treats on Clairvoyance, and gives the characteristics of the true and false manifestations of supernatural sight.
Telepathy, or Mind Reading, is the title of another chapter, in which the question is asked and answered, "Can an evil spirit tell what is in the mind?"
Theosophy, or Aristocratic Spiritism, is the title of the seventh chapter; and the New Thought, of the eighth.
Chapter nine treats on Pantheism, giving its root meaning and the principles upon which is founded.
Taken as a whole, this is one of the most important works on the great subject of the supernatural ever published. It will richly repay the most careful reading.
Price, 15 cents.
