Is It Belief?

There is much professed belief in God's Word, or the Bible. Yet that Book declares and repeats in various forms and ways, and at various times, the story of the evil days and dangers through which we must pass. Do the prophecies, the warnings, mean nothing? Do all of the precepts of God mean nothing? Is the life and example of Christ Jesus of no effect? Is His Spirit powerless for a better life? Judging from the practise of present civilization, all these questions should be answered in the affirmative. But "shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?—God forbid; yea, let God be true, but every man a liar," Rom. 3:2.
