IT WILL HELP YOU TO DO BETTER WORK

Be your work ever so humble you will find help in the book . . Education to do it more successfully. Here are some of the subjects treated

The Dignity of Labor

"While God has created and constantly controls all things, He has endowed us with a power not wholly unlike His. To us has been given a degree of control over the forces of nature. As God called forth the earth in its beauty out of chaos, so we can bring order and beauty out of confusion. And though all things are now marred with evil, yet in our completed work we feel a joy akin to His, when, looking on the fair earth, He pronounced it 'very good'."

The Parent

In the chapters entitled the "Under-Teacher" and "Co-operation" the work of the parent is dwelt upon specifically, but the whole book is a message to those who have the responsibility of children and young people resting upon them.

The Teacher

After presenting the various methods employed by Christ, the great Master Teacher, the author says, "The same Spirit that in His stead was sent to be the instructor of His first co-workers, Christ has commissioned to be the instructor of His co-workers to-day."

The Student

The following extract from the book is an example of the inspiring way the author talks to the student: "Our reasoning powers were given us for use, and God desires them to be exercised. 'Come now, and let us reason together,' He invites us. The mind that depends upon the judgment of others is certain, sooner or later, to be misled."

The Farmer

"Of him who cultivates the soil the Bible declares, 'His God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.' He who earns his livelihood by agriculture escapes many temptations and enjoys unnumbered privileges and blessings denied to those whose work lies in the great cities. And in these days of mammoth trusts and business competition, there are few who enjoy so real an independence and so great certainty of fair return for their labor as does the tiller of the soil."

The Business Man

One chapter is devoted to the consideration of Business Principles and Methods. In it will be found much of the greatest interest and value to the business man. In fact, this chapter might appropriately be named, "To the Young Man Entering upon Business," so easily understood and helpful are its instructions.
