Dynamite Explosion at Pleasant Prairie

Three car-loads of dynamite exploded March 9, at Pleasant Prairie, six miles west of Kenosha, Wisconsin. The roar and glare of the explosion could be heard and seen for fifty miles, and the concussion broke windows more than a hundred miles away. Reports from the country ten miles distant say that houses that far away were torn down. At this writing the cause of the explosion is not known, and no estimates of the killed and wounded have been made.
