Antiquities in Abyssinia

Antiquities in Abyssinia.—M. Huguesle, a French explorer, is reported to have found in Abyssinia the oldest record of the relations of the Queen of Sheba with King Solomon in its original form. At present he is engaged in co-operation with an Abyssinian sage in translating this invaluable papyrus manuscript. As soon as this is finished he has received permission from the Negus to make a thorough search of the islands in the Lake Zonai, where the Abyssinians buried all the antiquities during the Moslem invasion, and hopes to make many valuable discoveries in those places, which, as far as known, have never been visited by any white man.
