Came to Sherman, May 29, and held meetings Sabbath and first-day. Found the few that had taken hold of the truth in this place still firm, and having a desire to walk in all the light. June 1, two were baptized. After the baptism we met and organized a church of six substantial members, all heads of families. Pledges were made on S. B. amounting to $11.96. The Lord has blessed the company of believers here, and if they are humble and faithful, and stand firm for the truth, others will yet be added to their number. Samuel J. Hersum, Alice K. Hersum.
