"The Woman's Home Companion" has been doing noble work in the matter of child labor thru-out the nation. Its last number has an article on child labor in Pennsylvania in which it is shown that there were 6,329 violations of the child-labor law during the last year. There may be times and places where such labor is permissible and where it would work a hardship to enforce the law, but on the other hand there are thousands of children laboring under conditions and in circumstances which are horrible, and the Woman's Home Companion is doing a good work in agitating the matter.
