WHERE'ER I look, whate'er I see
In nature's realm, all prove to me
There is a God above.
Each swaying bough, each falling leaf,
Each fragrant flower, each ripening sheaf,
All whisper, "He is love!"
The world may scoff, the skeptic sneer;
Yet faith in Him my heart doth cheer,
And joyful, I press on.
Though friends forsake, and foes assail,
The hosts of sin shall not prevail,
The victory shall be won.
The Saviour came, for man He died,
Rose from the tomb, and opened wide
A royal road to heaven.
Himself became the Living Way
That leads from death to endless day.
What more could He have given?
