It has been reported that the Lindsay Island, lying between the Ladrones and Carolines, has disappeared. Captain Neilson of the steamship Thyria reports that he was in the vicinity where the island is chartered for more than a day but could find nothing of it. Frequently accounts are received in the hydrographic offices of the disappearance of islands in the far Eastern waters.
