The Political Christ

THE activities, in political ways, of the various religious bodies of the world will be an interesting thing to follow. The federation spirit, in both Protestant and Catholic bodies, has taken strong possession of them. They are saying a great deal about the power of their numbers, what they can do by sheer force of their political influence. The political Christ is an impostor. We may always know that the church, acting in a political way, is in a field that was never marked out by the Master Himself.
