WHERE LIES THE HARM?

By Mrs. D. A. Fitch

It matters little how mercilessly the backbiter may assail my conduct, it is only my reputation that can be injured. My character remains unchanged. He who criticizes another unfavorably is bringing most harm to himself. At the same time he injures the listener by hanging in his mind an abiding and irreversible picture.
Mrs. D. A. Fitch.
