Sunday and Religious Law

The man who pleads for a religious law or a civil law to protect a religious institution, either has little or no faith in God, or he does not believe that God is back of the institution he seeks to have the civil law protect. Is Sunday of God? If so, it needs no law to protect it. It will stand because connected with Him, fed of His life. Is it not of God, then let it forever die. Jesus says, "Every plant, which My heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up." Matt. 15:13. Let it be supported by God's word if it be of God's word; if not, let it perish. Do not let it be used as an instrument of tyranny, intolerance, persecution.
