KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST'S LOVE.

It is a peculiar kind of expression where the Apostle prays that they might "know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge." We may know that experimentally, which we cannot know comprehensively; we may know that, in its power and effects, which we cannot comprehend in its nature and depths. A weary person may receive refreshment from a spring, who cannot fathom the depths from whence it proceeds.—Owen.
