Death of Jonathan Chase’s Companion

It becomes my painful duty to record the death of my companion, which occurred on the 22d of May. This was a trying scene for me to pass through, but God has been, and still is, merciful. I rejoice that I am not called to mourn as those that have no hope. Her sickness was very distressing, but she bore it with Christian patience and resignation, and believed that in the first resurrection she should be raised to eternal life. JONATHAN CHASE.
