Disastrous Floods in Hungary and Switzerland

Under date of June 16 a despatch from Budapest, Hungary, says that nearly 300 persons were killed and several villages annihilated by a cloudburst in Krasso-Szoreny, a county of Hungary bordering on Rumania and Servia. It is expected that the death roll will exceed that. The same date a despatch from Berne, Switzerland, declares that floods there have been exceedingly disastrous. At least twenty lives have been lost and great damage done to property.
