Chronology

3210.—Chronology.—A. K.—There are chronologists who think that no time has been lost in any way. This they conclude from the concurrent agreement of various cycles, of sun, moon, and heavenly bodies. There are other chronologists, however, who tell us that we do not know the exact time, nor can we know it. There are some periods in the world's history that are quite indistinct. The Septuagint, for instance, does not agree with the Hebrew version regarding the ages of some of the patriarchs.
