SYSTEMATIC BIBLE STUDY

By Editor

OUR reading for the rest of the year is in the Old Testament. There are many people who have the mistaken notion that the Old Testament Scriptures are not so important as the New. But we have Christ's own statement that man is to live by "every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matt. 4:4), and the Master quoted this passage from the Old Testament Scripture. God, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, did not give the world meaningless phrases in the old dispensation that would be worthless in the new. Everything He has caused to be written is "for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come."

SCHEDULE FOR WEEK ENDING NOVEMBER 7

1 Chronicles 11-18 Ezekiel 32-38 Ecclesiastes 6-12 Song of Solomon 1 Read three chapters each week-day, and five on the Sabbath.

It is estimated that the wheat crop of Kansas would load a freight train 1,460 miles long. This is almost double the best previous crop in the history of the state. How good it is, when warring men are destroying crops and property in the Old World, that we will have not only a bountiful supply for ourselves in this favored land, but also a surplus with which to help keep men and women from starving in the lands over the sea!
