We are requested by the clerk of Oakland church to say to absent members that, when they write their quarterly letters to the church, they should send them to the clerk or some officer of the church. Frequently such letters are sent to personal friends, and if ever they find their way to the church, it is after the quarterly meeting. This notice is good for all churches.
