Read the article on “Higher Criticism and Protestantism.” Many affected by Higher Criticism will, we are sure, count the article altogether too strong; but he who studies causes and effects will see that Mr. Rowell has but stated the logical results of the work of the Critics, and that the most advanced of them are where they are because of the inexorable logic of the principles adopted at the beginning.
