Consistency.

THE fields are white already to the harvest, and we are praying the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into his harvest. Let us then be consistent with our prayers. When one feels the woe upon him if he preach not the gospel, and says, Here am I, send me, we should be cautious how we put forth the hand—God does not need our interference, and he will take away the influence of those who dare to do so. Those whom God has chosen have enough to do to break away from the chains with which the world and Satan have bound them.
Our tent lies still for lack of laborers. May God grant his people wisdom to discern between those whom he has called and those whom he has not. That some run who are not sent, there is not a doubt; but that all are not in the field that should be, needs no argument.
