Bro T. M. Steward writes from Mauston Wis., Aug. 3d, 1858: 'As to our spiritual affairs I can say I think the church here is progressing, although quite slowly. The interest seems to be increasing around us. My hands are tied for the present; still I hope soon to be able to go forth once more into the great harvest field. I feel very lonely and sometimes think I am almost forgotten by the brethren; but I mean to strive on and try to win the crown.'
