SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK ENDING JUNE 6, 1914

HOW many weary souls, rendered disconsolate through the ravages of sin, have found comfort in the wonderful words: "Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before Mine eyes; cease to do evil; learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isa. 1:16-18. This is only a small portion of the great storehouse of spiritual wealth that is contained in the book of Isaiah, upon which we enter in our reading this week. This book has been denominated the gospel prophecy. In many of its utterances it is a living expression of the experiences through which the world is passing at the present time. Every word should be studied as closely as our time will permit, as we are passing through this book, and we should earnestly pray that the wonderful utterances of God's word may be fastened upon our minds so that we can meditate upon them even when we do not have the privilege of the open book before us.
