EDWARDS (BELLVILLE), NEW YORK.
By Charles C. Lewis
I AM again holding meetings here. During my absence to the Institute, the Methodist minister from Russell has been keeping up the interest. The first night he took the fourth commandment for his text, and presented Fuller's Sabbath theory. The second night he attempted to show that the Sabbath was first given at the Exodus; that the moral law was the old covenant which was abolished; that it was never binding on any but the Jews; and, finally, that the example of Christ with regard to the Sabbath is of no force, as he lived under the old covenant. To cap the climax of his absurdities, he did not try to establish the sanctity of Sunday; but, as the people say, "left them without any Sunday."
